The one thing that almost everyone did agree with was how “idiotic”, “moronic”, “pathetic”, “self-serving”, “arrogant”, and “scary” President Obama’s role was during the process. Those are actual descriptions used against the president, and most of them came from Democrats.

Obama is melting down … unless the GOP beats him to it

President Obama is on the verge of a crackup. The debt-limit talks are beginning to take their toll.

On Wednesday, the president stormed out of a meeting with House Majority Leader Eric Cantor. Like a petulant adolescent, Mr. Obama blamed the Virginia Republican for opposing a “grand bargain.”

Yet Mr. Obama is to blame for the current political crisis. He refused to engage in discussions about lifting the debt ceiling until very late in the process. He has not been serious about controlling runaway deficits. In fact, the budget he proposed earlier this year dramatically boosted federal spending. It was voted down in the Senate 97-0. Even Democrats considered it irresponsible and reckless. Mr. Obama has buried America under a mountain of debt. His claim to be above partisan bickering, a supposedly frustrated patriotic statesman who is worried about our long-term debt bomb, is preposterous; it is merely a charade. He is playing to the TV cameras.

For weeks, the administration has argued that unless the government’s borrowing authority is lifted, Uncle Sam will default after Aug. 2, leading to economic turmoil — and maybe fiscal collapse. Mr. Obama even has played the Grandma card, threatening seniors with not receiving their Social Security benefits.

“I cannot guarantee that those checks go out on Aug. 3 if we haven’t resolved this issue,” he told CBS News. “Because there may simply not be the money in the coffers to do it.”

This is shameless demagoguery. The president knows full well that Washington will continue to take in more than enough to pay easily for Social Security as well as other basic government services – including the financing of our debt. The sky will not fall if an agreement is not reached by Aug. 2. At worst, there may be a partial government shutdown, but that would take several weeks. Hence, the GOP — and the nation — should not be bull-rushed into accepting any deal.

The reason for Mr. Obama’s political — and perhaps psychological — disintegration is a simple one: He is in a corner. He wants a “big” deal,” one that would slash $4 trillion from the deficit over 10 years. In particular, he insists on huge, $1 trillion tax increases, which would deliver a death blow to the staggering economy and most probably send it into a depression. Moreover, he has publicly vowed that he will veto short-term debt-limit raises coupled with equal spending cuts. In short, he has boxed himself into a my-way-or-the-highway negotiating strategy.

Republicans understand that agreeing to any new taxes would violate their seminal campaign pledge. House Republican fiscal hawks are right to insist on a short-term deal that makes any increase in the debt ceiling contingent upon accompanying spending reductions. This would avoid destructive tax increases, force the administration to accept substantial cuts and call Mr. Obama’s bluff. Either he vetoes the House GOP-backed bill and throws America into default — for which he will be solely blamed — or he capitulates, signs the legislation and is exposed as a political weakling. This is why Mr. Obama exploded at Mr. Cantor and walked out. He is desperately trying to bully Republicans into breaking their promise to voters.


“I have reached the point where I say enough,” Mr. Obama said, according to Reuters news agency. “Would Ronald Reagan be sitting here? I’ve reached my limit. This may bring my presidency down, but I will not yield on this.”

If that’s the case, Republicans should let him go down. Mr. Obama’s refusal to contemplate a short-term deal reveals that he wants permanent higher revenues — tax increases — to finance his entitlement society. This has been his Machiavellian plan all along. If that’s not possible, he then wants the other debt-limit option: a blank check. Raise the ceiling without any cuts.

That is what Senate GOP leader Mitch McConnell plans to give him. The Republicans are the Palestinians of American politics: They never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. With Mr. Obama on the ropes, Mr. McConnell is throwing in the towel. He argues that any agreement with the president is impossible and the GOP will be politically eviscerated if there is a government shutdown. Therefore, Mr. McConnell is putting forth a convoluted plan that would enable Mr. Obama to vote himself three successive debt-ceiling increases totaling $2.5 trillion — enough to get the government past the 2012 election — without Republican votes. The minority leader thinks this will make the president own the debt-limit issue. The record deficits, the skyrocketing debt, the addiction to spending — all of this clearly would be pinned on Mr. Obama.

Mr. McConnell is wrong. The GOP rightly will be blamed by its base and independents for selling out. America can no longer sustain its borrowing-and-spending binge: We are going broke. If Republicans cannot block Mr. Obama’s voracious socialist appetites, what good are they? A blank check would dangerously rack up the debt, demoralize the Tea Party and cripple the GOP’s credibility as champions of fiscal responsibility and small government. It easily could spark a third-party movement.

Mr. McConnell’s proposal enables Mr. Obama to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. The president is in free fall. He is a victim of his own colossal hubris and incompetence. Don’t throw him a lifeline.

During the 2008 campaign and the 2009 battle over his signature healthcare “reform” scheme, Obama claimed health insurers attributed his late mother’s cancer to pre-existing conditions and denied her coverage. A heartbreaking story, the only problem is it’s not true.

The Washington Examiner dives in the dumpster for us:

The news is in “A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother,” a generally admiring new biography written by former New York Times reporter Janny Scott.

…Scott, who had access to Dunham’s correspondence from the time, reveals that Dunham unquestionably had health coverage. “Ann’s compensation for her job in Jakarta had included health insurance, which covered most of the costs of her medical treatment,” Scott writes. “Once she was back in Hawaii, the hospital billed her insurance company directly, leaving Ann to pay only the deductible and any uncovered expenses, which, she said, came to several hundred dollars a month.”

Scott writes that Dunham, who wanted to be compensated for those costs as well as for her living expenses, “filed a separate claim under her employer’s disability
insurance policy.” It was that claim [emphasis ours], with the insurance company
CIGNA, that was denied in August 1995 because, CIGNA investigators said, Dunham’s condition was known before she was covered by the policy

Dunham protested the decision and, Scott writes, "informed CIGNA that she was turning over the case to 'my son and attorney, Barack Obama.' " CIGNA did not budge.

In September 1995, Dunham traveled to New York for an evaluation at the renowned Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. Returning to Hawaii, she began a new course of treatment. She died in November.

A dozen years later, her son turned her ordeal into a campaign pitch for national
health care. But the story Obama told, Scott writes, was "abbreviated" -- the
abbreviation was to leave out the fact that Ann Dunham had health insurance that
paid for her treatment. "

Though he often suggested that she was denied health coverage because of a pre-existing condition," Scott writes, "it appears from her correspondence that she was only denied disability coverage."

That's a different story altogether. One the president never told.

America is now facing its greatest crisis since the Civil War.

The Obama Administration, Democrats in Congress and the left-wing media are in the process of shredding the Constitution and undermining the rule of law in order to transform America into a Third World one-party state, where the only organization that works well is the secret police.

The Republican Party is hopelessly impotent and the legal authorities remain willfully ignorant.

Barack Obama is an illegal President according to Article II, Section I, Clause 5 of the Constitution and the binding precedent of Minor vs. Happersett (1875). There is no ambiguity, although those complicit in the fraud have deliberately provided information to mislead the American people.

Members of Congress will not investigate allegations that Obama boldly presented, on national television, a forged Certificate of Live Birth as an official record of his birth. They will not respond to evidence that Obama’s Selective Service registration is also a forgery and that his Social Security Number is illegal.

Congress does not act because it has succumbed to political blackmail.

For the same reasons, there is a conspiracy of silence that has spread throughout the federal government, the political establishment, the judicial system, the media and law enforcement agencies.

Members of our government have condoned a clear violation of the Constitution, ignored probably felonies and lied to the American people.

We have a gangster government.

Obama must not be permitted to enter another election cycle without his ineligibility and his alleged felonies being properly addressed.

If not, both the Constitution and the rule of law will be rendered meaningless.

Patriotic Americans will stand their ground, fight to uphold the Constitution and restore sanity to the country

It was a backroom deal among Congressional Democrats and Republicans, which created our current Constitutional crisis.

Congress and our political leadership always knew that Barack Obama was not a natural born citizen and, therefore, he was never eligible for the Presidency.

Over the last twenty to thirty years, members of Congress, for both personal and partisan reasons, have unsuccessfully attempted to water down the natural born citizen clause by offering potential Amendments to the Constitution.

Political coup d’etat of the Constitution

In the Spring of 2008, however, politicians found an opportunity to create a precedent, whereby they could change the eligibility requirements for the Presidency without an Amendment.


At that time, John McCain’s eligibility according to the natural born clause was being questioned. So, a deal was struck and the bogus and non-binding Senate resolution 511 was passed, which provided cover for both McCain and Obama.


It was a political coup d’etat of the Constitution.

After the inauguration, Congress was given talking points to misinform their constituents about Obama’s eligibility to be President. The conspiracy of silence continues.

Unhappily for the Congressional dupes and scoundrels, Obama, by releasing his alleged Certificate of Live Birth, has made them complicit in the possible commission of a felony. They could now be potentially charged with “Misprision of felony.”

Never forget, however, that Congress is mostly driven by the fear of losing their lifestyles of the rich and famous. They will usually respond to a crisis with cowardice and subterfuge.

Now that they are caught in Obama’s web of lies, they have chosen the same strategy as they did in 2008 – stall and hope Obama loses. That way, their cover-up and their shenanigans will be overtaken by events and soon forgotten; at least that is what they hope.

Unfortunately for the Republicans, Obama and his cronies have other ideas. They expect to win in 2012 and complete their destructive transformation of America.


The US is already hemorrhaging from self-inflicted wounds and our liberties are seriously endangered by the Obama agenda.

Obama and his followers know this and will use every means possible to intimidate the opposition and sway the 2012 election in his direction.

Obama has already trampled on the Constitution, ruthlessly over-stepped his authority and is rapidly eroding our liberties. He is, in my opinion, an illegal President and, most likely, a multiple felon.

Unlike many of the political elite, patriotic Americans will wait no longer. We will stand our ground, fight to uphold the Constitution and restore sanity to the country.

The moment of truth approaches. Obama needs more money urgently. This end of July all the (borrowed) money of the Federal Government is spent. The law sets the debt ceiling at a bit over 14 trillion dollars. Obama is unable to borrow more. He can’t push the US deeper in debt. Very soon, he won’t be able to pay for current expenses. That’s why he’s asking the Congress to raise the debt ceiling with at least two trillion dollars. The Republicans, in control of the House, accept to raise the ceiling under two conditions. First: only if the government is ready to cut spending over the next 10 years with a sum at least equal to the amount of the raise. Second: if taxes are not raised.

On Thursday, the negotiations collapsed between Obama and his fellow Democrats on one side, and the Republicans in Congress on the other side. Reason: the Democrats are only willing to cut some spending if they are allowed to raise the taxes. This deadlock obliges Obama to take initiative, to formulate a proposal. But, he hates making a first move. He prefers to ‘lead from behind’. He likes others to do the hard work. Recent examples of this attitude: Libya, Obamacare, etc.

Hard choices

If Obama and the Republican Congress don’t reach an agreement, Obama will have to make some hard choices...

Who Will Blink?

Since all options in the case of a non-raised debt ceiling are rather disastrous for the US, almost all pundits and observers believe the ceiling will be raised. The only question is: who will blink?..
